Data protection and data security are among our top priorities. We continue to improve the security of your personal data by optimising all technological security elements on an on-going basis. We adequately safeguard stored data according to the state of the technology as amended from time to time. We are, however, not liable for illegal third party attacks (e.g. viruses, hacking).

We neither sell your personal data nor do we disclose your personal data to third parties for advertising purposes. We do not disclose your personal data to third parties unless for order processing or unless you have given your express consent!

1. Personal Data

We shall treat your personal data confidentially and shall use them exclusively for processing your orders or concluded contracts as permitted by applicable laws. In order to process and execute your order or contracts, we disclose your personal data only to the companies engaged in delivering the relevant goods and/or services and only to the extent required for order and/or contract execution. Any data disclosed in this way may be used by the recipient only for fulfilling her/his task. Any other use of the disclosed data is forbidden.

Newsletter: Due to applicable statutory provisions, subscription to our newsletter service, whose main purpose is to provide information on new offers, requires your explicit consent, which can be withdrawn at any time and which will be obtained separately. Should you decide, at any later point in time, that you no longer wish to receive our newsletters, you can withdraw your consent at any time by sending us a notice to this effect to the following e-mail address: shop@doka.com

In order to be able to manage your requests, orders, etc., we collect and process the following personal data:

Customer registration, order and offer management: The processed data includes first name, family name, title, e-mail address, password, date of birth, company name, contact person, commercial register number, VAT ID number, telephone number, fax number, delivery address and billing address.

Newsletter subscription: For this purpose, we use the e-mail address that you enter in the online registration form as well as first name, family name and title.

Movements in the online shop: To enable shopping cart use and recognition of visitors who repeatedly visit our website, so-called cookies are installed on a user’s PC. Further information on the use of cookies can be found under “cookies”.

2. Information, Correction, Deletion

Upon request, we will inform you free of charge on any of your data processed by us. If you wish to be informed thereon, please send us a message to this effect to the e-mail address shop@doka.com This is also the address to which justified requests for correction or deletion or revocation of the use of personal data are to be directed.

3. SSL Encryption

Transfer of personal data on our website is always encrypted via TLS (Transport Layer Security). The TLS method we use is one of the most secure methods for encrypting data that currently exists.

SSL encryption warrants that your data, before being transferred to our server, is altered in a way that makes it impossible for third persons to reconstruct such data.

If the browser you use is Internet Explorer, you will notice a padlock symbol in the address bar of your browser that indicates encrypted data transfer.

Cookies

We use so-called cookies to enable web-based applications to manage the status of an online visitor, to allow for smooth navigation between the individual services and contents of our website and to ensure that user settings on our website remain the same.

A cookie is a small text file that we transfer to the computer of a user who visits our website. A cookie only contains information that we send to the user’s computer. We can identify the user’s computer with the help of the cookies. We use cookies so that the customer can fill his/her shopping cart with orders and manage it during a session and to tailor our website to our customers’ needs.

We use “session” cookies that are not permanently stored on the computer of the site visitor. These temporary cookies will be deleted when the user leaves the website. The information collected in this way helps us to analyse patterns and structures of website usage. This will allow us to continue optimising our website by improving its content and making it easier to use.

We also use “permanent” cookies. These cookies remain on your computer in order to simplify shopping and registration services the next time you visit our website. The cookies record, for instance, which articles you selected for buying/request while you continue to shop.

Permanent cookies can be removed manually by the user. Most browsers usually accept cookies. In the security settings of your browser you can, separately, allow or block temporary and permanent cookies. If cookies are blocked, certain features on our web pages may not be available and some pages may not be displayed correctly.

In order to use our shopping cart and checkout facilities, you have to accept session cookies. If a customer generally does not want to or is unable to accept cookies, s/he can also order via e-mail, telephone or fax.

Facebook Plug-in

We use plug-ins provided by the social network Facebook. If you do not want Facebook to associate your visit to our website with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook account first. You will notice a Facebook logo or a “Like” button on our site to indicate that there is a Facebook plug-in. If you move from our website to Facebook, the plug-in will create a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. This tells Facebook that you visited our webpage using your IP address. If you click the Facebook “Like” button while being logged into your Facebook account, you can link the contents of our website to your Facebook profile, which enables Facebook to correlate your user account with your visit to our website. Please note that we, as the provider of the webpages, are not informed about the contents of the data transmitted in this way or about how such data is used by Facebook. Further information on this topic may be found in Facebook’s Data Use Policy.

Google Analytics

The Doka online shop shop.doka.com/shop-at/en uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies” which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how visitors use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. If IP anonymisation (“masking”) has been activated and you are located in a Member State of the European Union or another Contracting Party of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, your IP address will be abbreviated so it can no longer be assigned directly to a single person. Google will use this information on our behalf as website operator to analyse your use of our website, to generate reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services related to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted from your browser by Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google. You can adjust your browser settings so as to prevent that cookies are stored on your computer. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can, furthermore, prevent that the data generated by the cookie on your use of our website (including your IP address) is collected, sent to Google and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

To assign the right country version of the Doka Online Shop, GeoLite 2 will be used for IP-Locating. The GeoLite 2 data is created by MaxMind, available from http://www.maxmind.com.
